2. Acceptable Use

RateMyRide is designed to:

  • Foster a positive car enthusiast community
  • Enable users to share and rate vehicles fairly
  • Encourage constructive feedback and build documentation
  • Facilitate vehicle discovery and marketplace transactions
  • Provide entertainment and social interaction around automotive culture

3. Prohibited Activities

The following activities are strictly prohibited:

  • Harassment and Bullying: Intimidation, threats, or persistent unwanted contact towards other users
  • Hate Speech: Content promoting discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics
  • Rating Manipulation: Coordinated attacks, fake accounts to inflate/deflate ratings, or any manipulation of the rating system
  • Impersonation: Pretending to be another person or misrepresenting vehicle ownership
  • Spam: Excessive, repetitive, or unsolicited content or marketplace listings
  • Inappropriate Content: Pornographic, sexually explicit, or otherwise inappropriate material
  • Violence: Graphic violence, threats of violence, or promotion of dangerous driving
  • Illegal Activities: Promotion of illegal activities including street racing, illegal modifications, or stolen vehicles
  • Fraud: Misleading marketplace listings, fake vehicle descriptions, or scam attempts
  • Privacy Violations: Sharing others' private information without consent
  • Account Abuse: Creating multiple accounts, selling accounts, or circumventing bans

4. Vehicle Photo Guidelines

All vehicle photos must:

  • Be of vehicles you own or have permission to photograph
  • Not be stock images, screenshots from other platforms, or photos of other users' vehicles
  • Not contain offensive stickers, decals, or modifications that promote hate
  • Not obscure or alter registration plates in a way that facilitates illegal activity

5. Rating Guidelines

When rating vehicles:

  • Be honest and rate based on the vehicle's actual qualities
  • Do not give spiteful low ratings to target specific users
  • Do not coordinate with others to manipulate ratings
  • Rate based on the vehicle, not the owner

6. Marketplace Guidelines

When using the marketplace:

  • Provide accurate descriptions and pricing for listed vehicles
  • Disclose known defects, damage history, and outstanding finance
  • Respond to enquiries in good faith
  • Do not list vehicles you do not own or have authority to sell

7. Enforcement

Violations of this Fair Use Policy may result in:

  • Content removal
  • Warning notifications
  • Temporary suspension
  • Permanent account termination
  • Reporting to law enforcement (in cases of illegal activity)

8. Reporting Violations

If you encounter content or behaviour that violates this policy:

  • Use the in-app reporting feature
  • Provide specific details about the violation
  • Do not engage with or retaliate against the violator

All reports are reviewed by our moderation team.

9. Appeals

If you believe your account was restricted or content was removed in error, you may submit an appeal to support@appforge.world with relevant details.

10. Updates to Policy

We reserve the right to update this Fair Use Policy at any time. Continued use of RateMyRide after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
